From the 1st of July 2015, the State Capital Dresden will be levying an accommodation tax for private overnight stays. All information can be found here. In accordance with the Accommodation Regulations of the State Capital Dresden (§2, Paragraph 2.3), business travelers are exempt from this tourism tax if they can provide written evidence from their employer which shows they are on a business trip.
